HONEYSOLD FIELD GUIDE

Keep the lid on. Keep the details.

Practical honey information to prepare your next buying or kitchen question.

Choose a suitable storage place.

Keep honey tightly closed in a dry place at room temperature, following the actual producer's instructions.

Understand crystallization.

Honey can naturally form crystals over time. Crystals alone do not establish that a product is adulterated, and a liquid appearance does not prove authenticity.

Use clean utensils.

Keep the jar and serving equipment clean, close the container after use and avoid introducing water or food debris into the stored product.

Retain the product information.

Keep the supplier, product name and label information available, especially when decanting for a kitchen. Follow the product's instructions rather than applying an invented shelf-life promise.
