Separate the facts from the presentation.
Record the ingredients, labeled net weight, supplier and origin information. A bee illustration, rustic jar or floral photograph does not establish where or how the honey was produced.
Ask what a claim means.
Raw, organic, local and floral-source descriptions need product-specific support. Do not assume those claims apply to every jar offered by a seller.
Compare net weight consistently.
Use grams against grams or kilograms against kilograms. A fluid-ounce volume and an ounce of net weight are not interchangeable measurements.
Keep a useful record.
Save the actual product name, jar size, price and supplier information when comparing or reordering. Ask for the final delivery and order terms before committing.
